In STEPS all students are taught the skills and values necessary for success. Medium of Education

The medium of teaching is mainly English, being the international language it is mandatory for the students and staff to communicate in English among themselves during the School hours. At the same time emphasis is also laid to ensure that students can effectively communicate in national language. The institute aims at rendering providing strong base in English as well as in national language to groom future leaders.

Curriculum 

The academic program aims to bring out full to communicate effectively in writing and orally in English and Urdu Languages. Equal emphasis is placed upon development of independent and critical thinking and creative skills in Information Technology. STEPS International Grammar School is following Oxford Syllabus. Beside this, students are taught all Islamic values, musnoon duain and Nazira Qurai

Science Laboratories

The School established state of the art Science laboratory with the latest technology and The School also has a computer lab with the facility of technology computers along With peripheral devices; where students learn everything from the basics the in-depth knowledge about computers

 Library

A well furnished and purpose-built library caters for all requirements of the students and staff. The number of books is being steadily built up. The books are properly arranged, neatly kept and skillfully maintained in shelves. The library is also used for self study. The School has already planned to add 2000 more books within the next year.

 Extra Curricular Activities 

In-house competitions are a regular feature reflected in the Academic Calendar of STEPS.  These co & extra-curricular activities play a vital part in polishing the personality of students in the overall grooming process. STEPS International Grammar School provides a range of activities as under:   

Sports and Games 

The School organizes the multi-sport events, in which the most talented athletes of school age compete. These events take place in high quality venues in a unique and vibrant atmosphere of the school. The events support pupils‘development and act as a stepping stone in further Inter School Competitions.

Club Activities

Club period is arranged for every class on Fridays. The students are engaged in healthy activities like calligraphy, art and design, and writing activities. Winter Gala, Family Fiestam and Fun Mela are the most thrilling events of this institution, beside this, competitions of Qirat, Naat, Urdu English Speeches and essay writing time to time to increase the knowledge of students.

Academic Period

Academic period of play group to KG Starts from 1st February to 31 January. While the academic period from 1st class to class 8th starts from 1st March to 28th February.

Examination System

Examination system is divided into three parts. 1st Term (August) 2nd Term (November) Final Term (February). In final result, 25% marks are taken from 1st & 2nd terms each and 50% from final term.
Final Terms exam syllabus include whole syllabus of academic year. Students must attain 50% marks for per motion to the next higher class.

Parents Teachers Meetings

The parents can contact the school administration and meet the teaching staff according to the given schedule. However, the school arranges scheduled Parent Teacher Meetings at the end of each term, after half yearly examination and annual examination. Parents and teacher remain in contact on daily basis through School Diaries. To address issues requiring urgent attention meetings of parents are arranged through circulars.

General Rules

Leave Policy at Attendance Criteria: Leave applications should be submitted by the parents to the teacher in charge or other concerned authority. Every student of the school is required to be punctual in class and fulfill the 80% attendance criteria. Any student who remains absent from classes without proper permission, for a continuous period of 6 days, excluding holidays, shall automatically be struck off from the school roll unless the cause of absence is explained to the satisfaction of the Principal. Short leave is not granted

Re-Admission:

In that case only the student may be re-admitted fee and school (after the duration his name is dropped from the school roll) on payment of re-admission fee and school dues.

Paying Dues:

The fee or other charges must be paid within due date as announced by the school administration. If a student fails to pay the required dues within due date, he/ she will be penalized in any form as is decided by the school administration. The details of such penalties will be announced then. A student who terminates his studies midway during the term month will have to pay full fee and all other charges due for that month/term and will not be entitled to any refund.

Punctuality and Discipline:

Late comers in the classroom will be marked absent. Private telephone calls of the students will not be entertained. Students must display the school cards within and outside the school premises. The students, while parking their bikes/cycles are required to lock them properly. School administration shall not be responsible for any loss on this account, whatsoever.

Record of Student Profile:

Any false information on the application form may render the student liable to expulsion from the school. The school reserves the right to make, amend and introduce any rule as and when deemed appropriate. Dues once deposited are non-refundable and non transferable. School will not be responsible for the loss of any mail/valuables sent to students at the school address.

Code of Conduct

As development of a healthy personality and character is the key note of our educational effort. Every endeavor is made to ensure that the students develop good habits and a sound character. It is done through the system of rewards and punishments. While no opportunity is missed to encourage and reward a child for every good deed that he/ she does, due cognizance is taken of any serious offence that hel she may commit and they are duly punished.
The following offences / acts of indiscipline make a student liable to expulsion/rustication from the school.
1) Disobedience or disrespect of his/her seniors or members of the staff. Student is expected to stand up the teachers when they approach him/her.
2) Using or trying to use unfair means in the examination. The entire examination of such a student may be cancelled.
3) Use of the abusive language and indecent behavior.
4) Acts of immorality.
5) Theft or willful damage to the school property, or their belongings.
6) Disinterest in studies, as seen from the examination/class test result or reported by members of the staff concerned.
7) Habitual absence from the school.
8) Breaking of school bounds and leaving the school premises without permission.
9) Parents guardian's non cooperation with school staff/principal or their indecent! unbecoming behavior using abusive language etc.
10) Communicating or associating with anti social elements outside the school or students expelled from the school on any of the above grounds.
1 1) Any other act of ill discipline that the principal feel, cannot be forgiven. The principal has the authority to expel a student from the school without any warning. The principal's decision in all academic! Disciplinary matters will be final and binding on the students and their parents (as well as the staff).
